ZF ECOMIX
ZF ECOMIX is a family of mixer drives for concrete transport vehicles, engineered to deliver dependable drum rotation under continuous high load. It combines robust drive technology, high torque capability and application-focused integration for demanding concrete delivery cycles.
Used in concrete transport mixers, ECOMIX supports smooth, controlled drum operation and long service life across a range of vehicle and drum capacities. Hydrostatic and electromechanical drive concepts allow the system to be matched to the vehicle architecture and operating requirements.
ECOMIX is designed around the continuous, high-load drum-rotation requirements of concrete transport mixers, with distinct drive concepts and output ranges for different vehicle and drum applications.
The dedicated P-Series table reaches up to 80,000 Nm maximum output torque and 72,000 Nm nominal output torque in the stated configurations.
P-Series variants cover the stated mixer classes from approximately 7 m³ to 12 m³. ECOMIX II CML and eECOMIX II CMe designations belong to separate model groups and must be identified independently.
ECOMIX I and ECOMIX II provide hydrostatic mixer-drive families across the documented P and CML model groups.
eECOMIX II adds the CMe 12 electromechanical drum-drive concept to the ECOMIX portfolio.
PTO availability is configuration-dependent: it is listed for P-5300 and P-7300, but not for P-3301 and PK-7500 in the dedicated table.

ECOMIX lubricant requirements depend on the drive concept and the circuit being serviced. ZF EcoFluid X 80W-90 is designated for the mechanical gear-oil sections of CML and CMe mobile mixer drives. Their hydraulic sections follow the applicable TE-ML 07D/07H logic and must be treated separately.
P and PK mixer drives use their own TE-ML 07 groups: 07A, 07C and 07E, with 07D as an alternative where specified. Do not use the mechanical-section oil in a hydraulic circuit, and do not select oil by the ECOMIX family name alone. Confirm the identified unit, circuit, operating temperature range and current ZF service information before filling.
Genuine ZF service-fill gear oil for the mechanical sections of CML and CMe mobile mixer drives. SAE 80W-90; use above −26 °C in the stated application.
ViewZF TE-ML 07 defines the ECOMIX lubricant groups and, for CML/CMe, separates the mechanical gear-oil section from the hydraulic section. It does not establish one universal hour-based oil interval for every ECOMIX model, so the actual interval must come from the identified unit and vehicle service documentation.

ECOMIX I and ECOMIX II are hydrostatic mixer-drive families. Their hydraulic power path supports controlled drum rotation and continuous operation under load. eECOMIX II uses an electromechanical drive concept, with electric torque production and electronic power and control integration instead of a conventional hydrostatic drum-drive path. This changes the diagnostic approach: hydrostatic versions require attention to hydraulic pressure, flow, cooling and contamination, while electromechanical versions require electrical safety, supply, inverter, motor feedback and control diagnostics. The mechanical gear section and its lubrication remain a separate consideration where applicable, so the generation determines the architecture, diagnostic method and service boundaries; the family name alone must not be used to assume interchangeability.
Describe the symptom and operating state: start-up, stop, forward or reverse drum rotation, low or high speed, loaded or unloaded operation, and cold or hot condition. Record fault codes, oil level and condition, filter and cooling history, operating temperatures, recent work and whether the input drive or vehicle PTO is operating normally. For hydrostatic versions, separate pump and motor behaviour, pressure and flow, control valves, leaks, cooling and the mechanical reduction. For electromechanical versions, add supply status, inverter and control-unit faults, motor feedback, sensors, connectors and the required electrical or high-voltage safety checks. This evidence helps distinguish a drive fault from a vehicle-control, hydraulic-supply or drum-system problem before components are replaced.
