ZF eTronic transmission
The eTronic family is ZF’s automated transmission solution for light commercial vehicles, vans and minibuses. These are 6-speed automated manual transmissions (AMT), where clutch and gear shifts are managed automatically by an electro-hydraulic or electro-pneumatic PowerPack ECU.

Model naming logic
- 6: number of forward gears.
- AS: Automated Synchromesh.
- 300 / 400 / 420: indicative maximum input torque (Nm).
- VD / VO: variant and top-gear setup (D = Direct Drive, O = Overdrive).
