Heavy city traffic poses serious challenges to both the driver and the truck, especially in crowded areas. ZF’s Ecolite manual transmission is designed for light-duty trucks with engines up to 1050 Nm of torque, thus supporting the supply chain.

Ecolite constantly proves its high level of performance in busy city conditions: its low weight, optimal gear ratios, and excellent shifting smoothness guarantee efficient operation and high comfort. The easy-to-shift gear lever, assisted by advanced synchronizer packages, relieves the driver every day. Thanks to its durable design, the 6-speed manual transmission achieves a long service life combined with reduced maintenance requirements. The compact aluminum housing, integrated clutch bell housing, and lightweight shift mechanisms together manage to significantly reduce the truck’s weight while increasing the payload. An advantage for city centers: the transmission achieves noise levels well below legal requirements and requires no additional insulation.
