The new transmission features an onboard electronic control unit, integrated intarder, and power take-off (PTO) capability. The vertical arrangement of the transmission eliminates the need for a transfer case and allows the integration of an inter-axle differential. ERGOPOWER L 2 is ZF’s innovative automatic transmission, applicable to articulated dump trucks with a payload up to 50 tons, gross weight up to 82 tons, and power up to 530 hp.
